whats up with the huge lift and the lil' tires I dont get it it looks kinda weird to me
It seems to be a cultural thing...if you're talking about the extra wide wheels with the tires stretched out to mount them. I call it the South 6th look.
Everyone's got their own taste. Whether we agree it's a waste or not, they are enjoying the creations they made. I think they look very nice just not practical or what WE call practical. Thumbs up on the skills it took to make'm look like that too...... I'm sure they look at our rigs and say some off the wall stuff too...... I say keep on creating..... 
I agree. I look for and appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into a project...whether it's a tricked out bicycle, a bagged Impala, a classic hot rod or a 4x4. One of the nicest, cleanest cars I've seen was a dropped 47 Merc, with the whole visor and evap cooler thing working. The guy had everything...original manuals and period correct maps in the glove box.
