The part you have circled is the oil pressure sending unit for an SR5 dash cluster. Non SR5's have a smaller sending unit that is basically an on off switch for the low oil pressure idiot light. Either one screws into the block in the same location. Having never owned an 82 I am not sure what the small part is to the left of the oil filter. Best of luck to you.
