You're going to be looking at $80-$100 an hour for labor most likely.  Probably want to use DOM, HREW is a little cheaper though.  Either way, you want to make sure you're using American made steel.  You're probably going to look at using 1.5-2"x1/4" wall or so, or thicker.

1/4" (0.250) wall seems a little thick and super heavy. Its good for links and sliders but most cages and sliders are 1/8" (.120) wall, thats also what most sliders and bumpers are made of on the market.
