Here is a little more info on the axle. The long stud is located on the bottom side near the pinion and it is not just slightly longer, it is about 2 1/2 inches long. I was told it was out of an 89 and had 3.07 gears by the guy at the wrecking yard. 3.07? I just thought he didnt know wtf he was talking about. As I looked at the third closer I noticed that the bulge on the outside of the third that is around the pinion area is quite a bit larger than the other toyota axles I have? Large pinion? 3.07gears? Maybe? I will crack it open this weekend and see what gears it really has. The axle housing has wider spring perches. Same distance apart, but its like they are made for a 2 1/2 spring or something? I dont have a digi camra or I would post a pic. Has any one seen anything like this?
