Ok great, thanks, I'll take a closer look at the rear d-shaft. It really has been my first thought all along, but it just seems solid. I'll make sure.
No, no locker in the back. I guess I should mention this is an '83. Rebuilt engine & L52HD, but the t-case & 3rd members are still the originals.
