we are doin ac in class right now, pretty simple stuff really! I love the old R12 systems, the freon is spendy but it will throw out around 39 degrees from the vent
if you have a TXV system (thermal expansion valve) system then you have a receiver/dryer and if you have a FOT system (fixed orifice tube) then you have an accumulator ..... i believe your yota has the FOT, and yes I would replace accumulator.
