You guys who are telling people to pack the tubing with sand..... have you done this yourself or just repeating a myth ? I would like to see some pics of tubing you bent with and without sand. I see people post this all the time, but have never seen anyone actually prove that it helps. Anyone got any first hand experience bending pipe with and without sand ? Any pics of both ?
I've bent a lot of pipe with the HF bender with no sand and without heating the pipe. It has always worked well for me without kinking . Seems like the sand myth would be a lot of trouble for nothing.
