Do you have a body lift? Check that the shifter boots are not in a bind.
Has the proper detent spring and ball been installed in the cases? The proper size is .3125 or 5/16".
Do you have broken motor mount{s} that are letting the handles move around?

If all else fails, we sell a heavy duty replacement spring. They can be replaced from the outside of the case with a 6mm allen wrench.
