Shamb, have you tried using a program like turbo tax? Personally I don't know a whole lot about it, but my dad uses it every year, and really likes it. From what I understand, it covers a lot of bases, and asks you questions throughout, to help you with deductions.
what any one elses experiences are with it, but it works well for my dad.
