one time i installed my timing chain one tooth off and my cylinder head had been machined so much (from previous owner) that that valves were hitting the pistons
left flat spots on one side of the piston. that was a horrible noise. that was actually my dads fault, not me. make sure your timing isnt 180 degrees off and check your timing chain! if the timing was 180 off it woudlnt run though
