Diamond core is Lincolns fancy term for the "sweet spot".  It's very easy to dial in and get a good arc.  I love my 180.  I haven't used it a whole lot but I did try it out.  I'm runnin mine on gas and it makes a beautiful bead and can get a good sized puddle going.  Love the heat.

Isn't that why you take notes on what works.....................
