with an adapter from the trans, you will probably need another top shift, or just the shift rails. the forward shift t-case works with the toyota transmission, i doubt the adapter will allow you to use the forwardshift case. the bearing retainer should be used but i dont think it will make a big difference, my buddy put together some cases and forgot to put that back and it seemed to be fine. hope that helps
