Those tranny's are prone to breaking.  They just plain suck.  I'm sure it grenaded.  I have one in my truck, and my grandpa went through 3 already in his tahoe.  Anyways, chevy luv, your better off having it rebuilt, the chances of finding one with some life left in it is slim.
