The advantage I see with the lefty adapter is that you could have the option of running 4.7s in the rear case with a driver side drop, where the Marlin taco box only lets you have them in the crawler case.  From an engineering standpoint, you'd really prefer to have the gear reduction further downstream in the drive train.  The situation I'm nervous about with the Marlin setup, is if you put 4.7s in the front case, and you run the crawler in low and your t-case in high, you're putting a huge torque load on the input of your stock t-case.  I'll either have to live with 2.28s in the front, or use the lefty adapter in the rear gear driven case with the 4.7s.  If they ever get that 4cyl coupler back into production that is.

On the other hand, I'm learning cnc programming at work, so maybe I won't have to wait... :flamer:
