Yeah, I never smelled it before I changed all the fluids either. I guess if you spill any on the gear boxes it's got to cook off, but I don't think that was my problem. I've been driving it around town for about a week now and no gear oil smell! That's nice. I ordered the pinion seals and nuts for my diff and t-case leaks, and got my front diff breather working again. It was clogged. After I get to that stuff....I should be completely leak free on this truck.
