I do have a locking cap and I do feel a sense of security from it.
I understand people can simply cut my filler neck or drill a hole in the tank....
......but at least someone's gonna have to work to get to my precious black gold.
I figure it this way: If someone really wants something thaaaaat bad, they
will get it. However, if my truck with a locked fuel cap is parked next to another truck without a locked fuel cap, they are far more likely to grab fuel from the unlocked fuel tank.
Especially beings that my 1st gen truck doesn't have a locking fuel door, it is waaaaay tooooo easy to access fuel on 1st gens. Open fuel door, open fuel cap. I don't want to give anyone "that easy" access to my fuel.
