Thanks, but it looks like we'll be stopping on the way up to get one either at the Placerville office or the Pollack Pines office.
The lady on the phone also said a permit could be obtained from a BLM office as well. So maybe I'll try to find a BLM office near home first and save the stopping time on the way up to Tahoe
