whats the point in putting a shock where the torque rod was? that is pointless man might as well just take it off all together....

I am hoping it will still somewhat act as the old rod did. If not I am going to modify the old rod hanger to work with the rod and reinstall it and live with the flex reduction it comes with. That rod is not useless. It is downright scary driving my truck without that rod in it. I will never do that again until I do high steer and the rod is no longer needed.
