My thought on this concept of "dual sport" has been to build an E Maxx style crawler only out of a T Maxx. Solid axles with a high travel heavy duty 4 or 3 link suspension. Rear locked and front open or locked depending on what you want. Keep the two speed and see if it is possible to gear the low lower. This would let you still go 30 something or more, but also have a low gear that probably wouldn't truly crawl, but it would be low enough to let you claw and bash up whatever you wanted to. Just a thought.
