i bet more people dont do it, simply for the steering problems. by problems i mean having to figure out where you are going to run you tie rod and such.  i would not mind getting one and just running 4 cyl thirds, the extra width would be nice.  you could always just go with a diamond axle and have it built to the exact width you want, and then you could use all of the stuff from your mini front housing except for the tie rod, drag link and inner axle shafts.
