Auto or manual?  Is it geared right for 35"s?  I've got a '91 xcab with a 3.0 (240K or so) 5 speed, 5.29s, and 35" tires, plus sliders, spare in the bed, full toolbox, etc. and I get 17-18 consistently.  I don't drive like a granny, nor do I drive like I stole it either (only on the rocks  :hammer:

I'd say a tuneup may be in the works, or even ask him if he's ever really calculated it.  :thumbs:  I hit my trip meter every time I fill up, and then the next time I fuel up, divide the amount of miles by the fuel I just put it.  Not 100% accurate, but good enough for me.
