I just called my friend that has a 3.0 in his 4runner (auto transmission too), and he never gets any better that 12-14 mpg on 31s. So, 14 mpg with 35s is not out of the question. Plus, mpg has a lot to do with driving style, so maybe he drives that truck like a raped ape and therefore gets terrible milage.
