Checked and my floor board is cut to allow clearance. The T.C. shifter isn't coming out of mesh. The springs helped but didnt do the trick. I wonder if it has to do with the truck having ADD and manual hubs?

How 'bout your boots?  I hammered back the body to clearance it, and still had the problem.  Turned out to be the boots on the shifters pulling it out.  Mine wouldn't disengage completely, just enough to pop it out of 4wd, but it didn't look like the shifter ever moved.  I cut the 1 piece boot down the middle between the sleeves, and haven't had the problem since.
