I put an EMPI on my truck, looks exactly like the 32/36 I had on my 77, unbolted the 38 and used all the old weber stuff to put the empi on my 83. One thing I really noticed was the truck fired right up and drove great with out screwing around and tuning the carb. I remember messing with my old weber for weeks to get it running right. My truck had a weber 38 on it and the best I ever managed was a touch over 13MPG, my best so far with the empi has been a little over 19MPG. I can be fairly gas happy and still get 15 or so MPG.
