My truck drops idle when I step on the brakes too. 93tonkatoy (I believe thats the correct name) explained it to me. It is because my idle is too high. When I step on the brake something happens that causes the computer to go crazy and try to drop my idle which causes the motor to surge. My idle is too high because of vacuum leaks.
