if you wanna do some 4 hi stuff I would actually steer away from a square shaft. even if you check and double check measurements it is still next to impossible to balance. this is going to turn into more of a debate really but if you already have the shaft, then cut out the tube thats on it and re-weld a piece that is longer so it will fit. you will be much happier with a round over a square
