Re: 3rd Gen Pickup on a 2nd Gen 4runner Frame?
« on: May 06, 2008, 08:08:53 PM »
Anyone have any ideas on this? I have a regular cab shortbed truck, and I was thinking about how cool it would be to have a 3rd gen truck with a factory 4 link rear suspension. So I was thinking... how easily can a 3rd gen pickup body be adapted to a 2nd Gen 4runner frame? It should be the same until after the B- pillar... right? What about wheel bases? Did the 2nd Gen 4runner get a frame based off of a short bed regular cab truck? Thanks in advance for any assistance. :help:
The factory 4-link is not that good, arms are to short, brackets rip off easy. That is why a lot of people go to leafs on a 2nd gen runner.
