I've never been a fan of home schooling, but I do see your point WT.
Home school is a nice idea but it seems hard for kids to make friends if they're at home all day. A private or charter school is good an option, they usually have smaller classes and dedicated teachers.

I know quite a few homeschoolers, and several of them went off the deep end once they went to college. They were so sheltered and protected that once they hit the real world, they didn't know how to deal with it. Even the most normal ones had a difficult time, due to their lack of social interaction.
