Shocks don't improve your load carrying capabilities, they just control the speed at which the suspension cycles.  The springs carry the weight.

If you want to see what a bumper will do to your rig find out what it weighs and put something of that weight on the front of your rig and take measurements.  Have someone sit on the front of your rig...
