So im looking for a toyota truck or 4-runner for my son. This will be his first truck. Im looking for something less than $4500, lift, in good shape, and can be used as a DD. I dont want more than 150,000 miles on the motor. Im located in colorado. And i was just wondering if you guys could keep an eye out for me and help me find something. Thanks
Chad
What specifically are you looking for? IFS, solid axle, carbed, fuel injected, 4 cyl, 6 cyl, ?
I can't speak for CO, but I know on the west coast, toys hold their value really well. Its getting harder and harder to find toys with less than 200K miles on them, simply due to the fact that they do run forever. With the specifications you've given us, you won't find what you are looking for. Any vehicle with 150-200K miles on it is going to need some work. It may not be serious drivetrain work, but wires get brittle, the paint gets faded, bearings wear out, etc. Good thing is, you are on the right track. Toyotas are very durable, fairly easy to work on, and will be a great learning experience for your son

Don't know where you are in CO, but here are some I found on denver's craigslist:

I've had 3 of them in one truck, and while they can be good motors, their reputation speaks against them.
