Ok, here are the pics of what I found in my OIL PAN a few months ago when I initially tore apart the engine. It had a brand new palstic timing chain kit in it, but it must have been a dee dee dee that did it to leave this stuff in the oil pan.

Thats right! This was in my OIL PAN after a timing chain replacement! This is what caused the engine to run so crappily. It sucked this stuff onto the oil pickup tube, which killed oil pressure, which let the chain tensioner loose, which in turn allowed the timing chain to skip gears, which in turn lead the engine to run like crap and get taken out and replaced with a temporary engine.
This is all, of course, an assumption, but it seems very reasonable to me!
