Dude.  Not to be critical but at 4 bucks a gallon for gas you could probably buy the tools you need instead of driving all over creation to get help.  There are write ups on how to do it on Marlin if you don't know.  As for space you don't really need any more space than what you would need to change a flat tire.   All you really need besides basic hand tools is a 54mm socket and a torque wrench, even the torque wrench is optional. 
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
