This is just my opinion and my gear guys as well. He will not even install genuine gears because they are crap and hard to set-up. Just because they are cheap and have a lifetime warranty is no reason to buy them. A lot of good it is going to do you when you are in the middle of nowhere and you blow. I hope you do not think that 4WPW is going to come out and fix them for you.

When I first got started in this sport I ran them, I blew them, I got them replaced, and I sold the replacements.
ya know, i was just talkin bout that same thing with a buddy o mine. i did talk to a rep at Genuine gear, and he told me the gears are the same in both, but you have to double up on all the shims. my yota runs a 5.0 v8, geared to 183-1, with 42s on the ground. this is scaring me, i HATE breaking things on the trail. so now i ask, what gears should i use. i have no experience with the yukons.i think i will put the genuines in a 4 cyl howsing and sell the axles.
