I use an old chrome lugnut threaded about halfway down the stud to remove them.  Then I use an impact to pull them back in with a old lugnut turned backwards with a washer under it.

I cut my backing plates down to nothing so I didnt have any fitment issues.  Ive heard that you will need to trim it though. Dont need a thinwall socket, a standard one will do nicely.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??
