You can use a skinny wheel and cut just behind the weld to get the tube off of the yoke.  Then clean up the weld area and cut the tube straight and slide it back on.  Make sure you have the phasing right and that is relatively true.  You can put some atf or lead shot in there to help with vibrations aswell.

should i stick the barrel of my 870 down there and blast away?  just kidding.  i've heard of doing that.  does it really work?  wouldn't it make a bunch of noise going down the road? 

does the tube actually run inside the driveline?  that would probably be the best way of getting it to line up straight.  i have a cv out of an 85 that i was wanting to put in.  you think it would be to hard to line it up straight?
