strange I don't usually read this section but I'm doing it right now and Marc above did a hell of a job on his.  I used his pics too and this website:  :thumbs:

Grinding it wasn't as bad as I thought but I had to clearance one more area than the websites I saw indicated.  I used 2 carbide bits and an angle head die grinder.  My weld buildup isn't all that pretty but it's flat and should seal fine.  I used transfer punches to center punch the holes for the studs and thats as far as I am currently.  The housing is at my friend's shop so I can't do much to it during the weekdays.

I still haven't drilled my studs or countersunk the bolts on the elocker motor but I picked up this angle drill guide from harbor freight to (hopefully) help keep my drilling straight.
