How could you know if its a L52? Chances are its a L50 since the L52 was not available until 11/1982. The L50 that the truck most likely had does not have a 80mm front bearing but rather a 75mm input bearing, plus it would have a non-sealed output shaft bearing.

yeah, but wouldn't it still be better than the stocker L43 i have? makes a LOT of noise in reverse(been doing it since i got mad at somebody cutting in front of me in the gas station line, dumped the clutch in reverse
