Re: question on dual cases
« on: Dec 30, 2007, 05:14:05 PM »
hey glenn, this probably seems like a really stupid question, but what is the coupler?  it did come out from behind a 4 speed, so i'm guessing that means i need to do some grinding.  the raised spline is only on one end of the shaft, right?  thanks for the reply

I think the coupler is the piece between the two cases that has splines both inside and outside.  It should already be assembled as part of the dual case.  If your putting it back into the 4 spd transmission it shouldn't matter, but if it's going in a 5 spd transmission then it sounds like you have some work to do.

Wait for Glen's reply to be sure.
