one of the main things i like about the newer brake is they have fewer parts and look easier to work on. when i got my 79 i noticed the rear brakes were weak, so i got new shoes and when i removed the old ones i noticed hardly any wear??? hmm looks like the auto adjusters were cleaned real nice then rusted up. front brakes only. and hardly any e brake action. they work now, but I'm going to use the new style when i do the axel change.
