solvents leave microscopic remains,if you force new grease through you don't have remains,in theory,you don't have to "clean them"just force new grease through them,Ive never heard of anyone having problems washing them out,but thats the way I learned,I have a stand for greasing my bearrings,but I use the palm of my hand
