I have the stock upper two leaves and added three springs from a pack I found laying around.  I used a torch and the big sledge and beat the snot out of it for about an hour per side.  I run 36 Irocs on 10 inch wheels with 2 inch wwheel spacers. It never touches.  Still have intentions of moving the rears up front, but what I have now works good.  Oh, I do run a bigger shackle too, might make a difference.
80 pickup swb, 4.3, 700r4, marlin 10 degree doubler, frt+rr 60's w/ 7.17's, full hydro, flat belly'd, 42 irocs, 17" mickey's w/ trailready's.
