Infernal: How is the air quality down there?

I have a couple friends in Big Bear, including Dave Cole, I hope they are all alright.

Hey Mike and everyone.

Let me see If I can help out with news from the area. I live in Redlands and work in SB (thick smoke here for the past 2 days)and have tried to follow the fires locally.

The reports I am hearing are a lot more dire. Friends in Arrowhead, Crestline, Running Springs and Big Bear all say this one is really bad. We lost a lot of homes here in the 03 "Old Fire" but the winds now are more intense. The last report from KNX had the structures lost in the mountain communities at more than 250.  :sad2: I know of four families that have lost their homes in Arrowhead and Running Springs. :sad2:

I read that Dave Cole and family are staying with Zukizzy (aka Wayne) from the board. "Earl Kahn" (aka Donald) just moved out of his house in Running Springs so his family is safe. :)

San Diego County is also really bad. Friends in Rancho Bernardo lost their house, their rental house and the kids private school burned.

Earthquakes are not the danger in SoCal that people hear of. Fires cause a lot more damage.
