yes you can eliminate a lot of the features on the stock 22r carb. just for fun look at the stock racing carbs by LCE. but most of the features on the stock 22r carb work really well the way they are. in fact i wish i could mod the idle up feature and AAP to work on my weber. Better MPG. if you still want to .. just take out one feature at a time and see how you like it.
