Both of my vehicles are broke and I do not have the money to fix either right now.  I need wheels to get back and forth to work.  What should I borrow the money for????

Fix big blue worst case $1600.00.

Ok, I pulled everthg off last night and removed the head too.

It smelled really bad of burndt oil...and I mean really bad.

I drained the oil, antifreeze and water from the pan.  But, I did wash the engine saturday and some of the water may have gotten into the pan from there although the antifreeze didn't I would think.

Number 3 cylinder on the head is pitted like an old bomb drop area.....
So my questions is.....does this mean that the head is toast??????

There was about an inch of water in the number 3 cyl.
There was also alot of crud on the top of the pistons, although the cyl walls felt ok.

Tonight I will open the bottem end and check it out.
What should I be looking for?
Should I pull the bearings and check them?
Anything else I should be checking for????

any and all help is appreciated :help:
