Going up the mountains around my place, I rarely go over 30 mph in 2nd gear. 85, stock 22re, and 30s. For comparison, my dad's 91 f-150 with a half dead 302 and 31s can go 45 up it with the over drive off. For some reason it shifts so much better with OD off, I thought it only affected the top gear, but I guess it affects all?
Dumb automatics. Anyways, gears are a huge thing where I live, becuase it means the difference between getting someplace in one day, or two. Stupid hills.
