Right!   With enough slip or lack of traction, gear ratio becomes more irrelevant (between front and rear, that is). As the surfaces become increasingly tractable then they become more crucial.  Give it enough time on a hard enough surface and you could have problems.  

haha o ya, someone at school locked my hubs, n i always richard around n put in 4lo... it was rough, but i knew to unlock the hubs right away.... it was a perfect e-brake on a hill tho
