Livermore to Fresno is closer to 2.5 hours.
5S to Los Banos, cut across 152 to 99.
I live in Walnut Creek, and it takes me 3 hours. Livermore is about 30 minutes in that direction. Not bad.

Unless you happen to go at commute hour to get out of the bay area...
