I have seen many spindles that look like that even from the factory setups. The bearings had 150,000 on them or so running 33x9.50 tires for most of it. Telling me they were tight or they aren't supposed to look like that does not help me at all. I'm sure they weren't to tight or they wouldn't have lasted as long as they did and I know they shouldn't look like that its the whole reason I started this thread. The bearings were very old and show it. The inner races were turning on the axle which is why the keyed ring has a groove in it and the back lip is worn. My concern is are they still good. The wear is .0015" where the bearing rides and the rear isn't as chewed up as I've seen other ones. The dark area is from corrosion not burning. I have put maybe 3,000 miles on the truck in the last 2 years so it has been mostly sitting.
