about your question of using a toyota tranny and t case with the 4.3, well i have had some bad luck with the 4.3 first and but if you got a trans out of a toyota truck with a v6 i think that is all you are going to need last week i picked up a truck just for parts and it was a really weird setup but it was a 1981 toyota pick up with a 3.8 carb. buick motor and a th350 trans and a toyota transfercase it had a adapter from advanced adapters and if the engine were turned in right that would have been a awesome setup i was doing burners on a 38 with the stock axles setup just to give you an idea of a good setup i have seen or you could even do a newer 3.8 but as for the trans and t case i say go for it i dont think you will be disappointed
