Well as 5pm was rolling around, I was thinking about the 22R, and as you've probabely guessed by now, I just decided to pull it out and get rid of it! My only experience on pulling Toy truck engines was about a month ago when I pulled a 22R-E from a stock 87' 4Runner. That was my first time ever, and it took me about 3.5 hours with the IFS and efi components getting in the way and slowing everything down..

So I figured I could pull a carb engine out, even though Ive never done it before, in a couple of hours. Almost. Took me 2.5 hrs. Included having to go next door to get the engine hoist that was burried behind 6 customer vehicles (at Marlin's automotive garage, not the Crawler business). So I had to get the keys and drive a bunch of cars around.. So all in all it was a really productive evening.
